Monique “Coach Mo” Taylor
Founder | Youth Advocate | Law Enforcement Officer | Sports Coach
Coach Mo is more than a coach—she’s a mentor, motivator, and movement leader. As the visionary/ founder of Positive Trash Talk, LLC, Coach Mo brings a bold and heartfelt approach to youth development by combining sports fundamentals, mental health awareness, and positive mentorship, promote positive sportsmanship, and to build up the next generation of strong, confident athletes.
With a background as a Deputy Sheriff Officer, Sports Funamentals Coach, and a Youth Motivational Speaker, Coach Mo has spent over two decades on the frontlines—serving her community, advocating for youth, and working with incarcerated individuals facing mental health challenges. Through those experiences, she saw firsthand the critical need for early intervention, positive role models, and safe spaces where young people could grow—not just physically, but emotionally and mentally.
That’s where Positive Trash Talk was born: a program and movement that flips the script on traditional "trash talk" by teaching youth how to speak life into themselves and others.
Coach Mo’s energy is unmatched, her message is unforgettable, and her heart is fully in the game. Whether she’s leading drills, mentoring one-on-one, or speaking to a gym full of students, her mission remains the same:
“We’re not just training athletes—we’re building champions in life.”
Through Positive Trash Talk, Coach Mo is creating a Culture of Positivity where young athletes—especially young girls—are empowered to own their voice, embrace their strength, and become leaders on and off the field.
